Progreso X is the corporate accelerator of Cementos Progreso. Our parent company is the leading cement manufacturer in Guatemala and has been the region leader for over a century. Progreso X has the objective to create, design, and bring to reality disruptive ideas through a collaborative process between corporations, startups and its ecosystem. We focus on four core values: solutions need to be human-centered, sustainability is in the top of their minds, the believe adapting to change is about continuous learning and finally they understand culture as the basis for design.
Progreso X seeks to redefine, defy, and collaborate on alternate methods of construction, optimize construction processes, adapt our cities with sustainable solutions and collaborate with stakeholders to create technological solutions to city related problems. We are looking for key partners to implement better construction processes and strengthen the use of data and technology to create smart cities.

Watertech
First, to participate you must registrate through our digital platform. Progreso X will filter the information, qualify, and evaluate the participants and select who will continue the program.
Second, pre-selected participants will have the chance to make a proposal during an event hosted by Progreso X. This phase will also be known as the competition. Progreso X and its team of experts will evaluate the proposals based on scalability, sustainability, economic viability, and innovation. The best proposals will be selected to work on an innovation loop (pilot) of the proposed project.
Third, the selected participants will negotiate with Progreso X to carry out the innovation loops with a corporation’s business units.
Participants accept and undertake to comply with the terms and conditions of the program. Find attached the complete version of these conditions.
By participating in the program, you will be bound to the terms and conditions imposed by Progreso X. All natural and legal persons with legal capacity will be considered participants to the program.

2. Have the ability to allocate human, technical and/or financial resources;
3. Participants authorize and assign to Progreso X the rights to generate content and distribute it through social media and any other communication channel;
4. Participants guarantee ownership of the rights established in the proposals, including Intellectual Property and Copyrights.
Progreso X and any participant will work together to develop and execute different solutions; to do so there will be a free flow of information that could be classified as confidential. It is understood that any information received or to which the receiving party or parties have access will be treated as confidential information. Anyone who breaches this agreement will be liable for damages caused. The parties will not be held liable if the information is given because of a legal requirement.
We are authorized to use any information and personal data contained in files, records, or any other form of public and private data banks. We may store, process, make use, protect, and disseminate this data. Progreso X will use the data during the program for legitimate purposes and by fair legal means.
Progreso X has implemented all the necessary mechanisms for the protection of data and information. We will not be responsible for any damages that may arise from the use of the platform. Also, we will not be responsible for any false information given by the participants.
Progreso X will be able to collect and store data and information necessary during all phases of the program. Also, the program and its digital platform will have free flow of information and may transfer all information through international borders. We do not have the intention or the right to transfer information, files, or databases to third parties. Participants can revoke any of the rights given to Progreso X at any time by doing a formal request.
Progreso X is a Guatemalan entity, and the program will be based in Guatemala City. All participants acknowledge that any controversy or conflict that arises during the program will be subject to Guatemalan law.
